Jill Harraway

Jill Harraway is an Oxford-based artist who studied Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University and Chelsea College of Art and Design.

She works in many mediums including collage, painting, jewellery and sculpture. Her work is inspired by colour, light and space with a love of industrial architecture. She is also influenced and draws on her professional experience of working with vulnerable adults.

​

She often starts work with just a mark on a piece of paper or with a found object and then works with many materials in a playful way with no specific end goal. Only when she sees where the work originated in her own psyche is the work considered finished.

 

Sometimes it works but often it doesn’t.
